Black Orpheus is a 1959 film directed by Marcel Camus, set in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival. The film is a retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, but with a modern Brazilian twist. The story follows Orfeu, a streetcar conductor and musician, who falls in love with Eurydice, a woman fleeing from a jealous ex-lover. However, their love is threatened by fate and the forces of nature.

There are two movies worth your attention in 2013 The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Now You See Me. And if the second one looks more like some mix with drama and crime genre, the first one is the "pure magic". Much like Nolan's The Prestige, Don Scardino's The Incredible Burt Wonderstone tells a story about two magicians Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton whose performance gained them the first place in world rankings, but suddenly their fortune dried when Anton gets trauma during the performance. It was an accident, but Anton blames Burt for this and leaves the show. Burt has to overcome desperation, he tries to find something credible in his life to draw inspiration for the new magic shows. For worse, a previously unknown street-magician Steve Gray enters a big scene with a dangerous, but much acclaimed trick which builds him the whole show, makes it an enormously popular one. Burt understands that Gray's success means checkmate for him when his beautiful assistant, Jane turns against him and joins Gray. There only salvation for Burt, to convince Anton forgive him and reunite in some new glorious show to overshadow Gray. It's not an easy mission to accomplish, because Anton has moved to Far East and seems to be quite happy without Las Vegas turmoil. Don Scardino managed his best to gather such a brilliant cast in this 30 000 000 USD movie: Jane is played by Olivia Wilde (Relanxious, The Third Person, People Like Us, Deadfall, TRON: Legacy) while main antagonist Steve Gray is portrayed by Jim Carrey (Dumb and Dumber To, Loomis Fargo, Mr. Popper's Penguins). The main character Burt Wonderstone is played by Steve Carell (Frank or Francis, Hope Springs, Date Night) while his partner, Anton Marvelton is depicted by Steve Buscemi (On the Road, Rampart, Grown Ups). And if you are not impressed enough, David Copperfield stars in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone as illusionist David Copperfield, of course.

Successfully debuted at The Dallas International Film Festival, Liberal Arts is an American romantic-drama film directed by talented Josh Radnor, who not only written a screenplay for the movie by performed the leading role of the Jesse, a lonesome mid-aged university admissions officer who visits his old college in order to honor his ex-mentor. At this pivotal moment of his live he meets a girl, a 19 years old Zibby (the role performed by lovely Elizabeth Olsen, whose sole presence in the film makes it worthy to watch). Zibby and Jesse relationships develop in the way typical for 36-years old mature man and romantic 19-tears old girl, who know nothing about what this world is like. The only thing that makes their relations seemingly not icky is the Jesse serious take of this moral dilemma, which sometimes crossing the border between serious and funny. Especially in the scene when he calculated the deeps of his lapse from virtue: "When I was 19, she was 3; when I was 16 she was 0….hmmm…when I'll be 86, she will be 70" the last equation makes him sort of more easy looking on this hefty age difference (but he, and everyone in the move; and even we understand the point well).

The story is loosely based on real life events happened with real Californian journalist who decided to dramatically change his "paralyzed" existence and succeeded. The film premiered on Sundance Film Festival in 2012 and gained mostly positive critics alongside with Audience Award in "Dramatic" category and Special Jury Prize in category "Dramatic Acting - Cast". As for cast ensemble – it represent a perfectly combined blend of true personalities pooled by a genuine chemistry between each other. The leading role of paralyzed writer was acquired by unparalleled John Hawkes, who may be familiar to you by his roles in The Playroom as Martin Cantwell, Arcadia as Tom and Contagion as Roger. Helen Hunt plays his soul mate and the sexual sessions partner, Cheryl Cohen Greene; you may remember Helen as Darcy Maguire in What Women Want, a Nancy Meyers movie, which was filmed in 2000.

The Return of the Scarlet Pimpernel is a movie that was released in 1937 and is based on the novel of the same name by Baroness Emma Orczy. The movie follows the exploits of Sir Percy Blakeney, who assumes the identity of the Scarlet Pimpernel, a dashing hero who rescues French aristocrats from the guillotine during the Reign of Terror in the aftermath of the French Revolution. In this movie, Sir Percy must rescue his wife, Lady Blakeney, who has been kidnapped by the villainous Citizen Chauvelin.

A Roman hero, Coriolanus absolutely hated the people who revered him. His extreme views and inflexible beliefs incited riots and turned Ancient Rome into a bloody battleground. Even his mother, Volumnia, turned against him as politicians strove to outmaneuver and manipulate him into being more peaceful. One of the most violent periods in Roman history and with plenty of action and violence, this side of Shakespeare presents us with a viewpoint on how dangerous it was to live in Rome back then. Great location shots and plenty of fight scenes make this a fast paced film in which Shakespearian language dominates but is still easy to understand and follow.ctor Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2) doubles as director and star of Coriolanus, is Caius Martius Coriolanus. Watch for plenty of bloodshed and violence which was evidently what Ancient Rome was all about.
