In this continuation of the Hobbit Trilogy (proceeded by The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in 2012, and concluded by The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in 2014), Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and the dwarves (led by Thorin Oakenshield II, played by Richard Armitage) continue on their quest to reclaim their homeland from the dread dragon Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch), who has taken up residence in the Lonely Mountain. Meanwhile, Gandalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellen) investigates the ruins of Dol Guldur, where a growing evil stirs. This film features a faster pacing than the previous installment, and bridges the events between the first and third movies in the fantasy trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved classics. Giant spiders, beautiful wood elves and evil orcs wait in this epic film, along with politics, intrigue, and even a dash of romance.

A successful movie often brings about a sequel and this is no exception. Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris (son of Richard Harris) is the adversary and arch nemesis of Holmes and Watson who is continually devising plots and trying to outwit the famous detective. s with the first film, this one is full of comedy and action adventure while the story idea is reportedly taken from "The Final Problem" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and takes place one year after the conclusion of the first Sherlock Holmes movie. This film is not considered a sequel as it does not require prior knowledge of the first one. Sherlock Holmes older brother, Mycroft Holmes (played by Stephen Fry) is along to help this time.

Hughes brothers exploit a very specific niche of "commercial cinema for nerds" filmed The Book of Eli, a western about the Second Coming. You haven't even know that Eli is the God in Aramaic, and generally have at least a minimal understanding of sacred texts. Simplicity and clarity of massage of the movie makes us expecting some more complex content. Especially because the atmosphere and style of the film is beyond any praises. They succeeded to create really juicy and truthful post-apocalyptic world, which filled with the atmosphere of despair, echoing, resonating basses and shot with the cold spectrum filters. A character of Washington is so cool in his calm relaxed state that somehow you really begin to believe that good actually has fists.

The film follows the story of Jean de Carrouges, a respected knight who returns from the Hundred Years War to find his wife, Marguerite, has been raped. He accuses his squire, Jacques Le Gris, of the crime, but Le Gris denies the allegations and claims that Marguerite consented to the act. With no way to prove his innocence, Jean is forced to call for a duel to the death to settle the dispute. The King of France, Charles VI, agrees to the duel and chooses the location and the rules. The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, with particular praise for the performances of Damon, Driver and Comer, as well as for Scott's direction and the film's attention to historical detail. It was also praised for its themes of justice, honor and the power of the truth. The Last Duel was a commercial success and grossed over $300 million worldwide. It was nominated for several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

What happens next is violence and mayhem at its best and film maker Luc Besson seems to have successfully graduated from "epic" films to action packed adventure.
