A prehistoric man, Grug, and his ferocious family awake, when an earthquake strikes. All they have to do is to run out of their comfortable cave-apartments and accept their fate of "caveless" wanderers traveling uncharted and fantastical world. As they travel, a prehistoric genius meets them on their way. His name – Guy, and he tries to use his brain, not strength, in contrast as Grug does. This unusual, as per those times, behavior makes him derelict in eyes of contemporaries. Especially in the eyes of Crug, whose oldest daughter, Eep, seems to be fallen in love with Guy. This inappropriate order of things: a sudden earthquake, a crazy nerd, and unexpected maturing of the daughter makes Crug's world being ruining. However, the rest of his family is less worried of these events: Ugga, Grug's wife; Thunk, their fat but kind son; and Gran Grug's mother-in-law and his main enemy in this world. "Alvin and the Chipmunks" is a 2007 live-action/animated musical comedy film based on the popular cartoon characters of the same name. The movie follows the adventures of three chipmunk brothers - Alvin, Simon, and Theodore - who are discovered by struggling songwriter Dave Seville. With the help of Dave, the chipmunks become a successful musical act, but they soon find themselves at odds with their greedy record producer, Ian Hawke.

Tintin finds he has a famous ancestor in Sir Francis Haddock and they set off to find a treasure left behind. With protection from an escaped prisoner they go after the treasure while a pare of inept detectives try as well.

Another thing we like in Monsters franchise is the unbeatable atmosphere of the monster's world pictured by superb Pixar's director Dan Scanlon. He depicts the world where monsters educate how to bring the fear to earthling children in unsurpassed laughable yet ridiculous manner that become a kind of his "brand" almost ten years before Monsters University release, when Monsters, Inc won the hearts of worldwide audience, leaving no one indifferent to Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan adventures and charming personalities.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits is yet another animated film with 3-D action and plenty of familiar voices from top notch actors that the kids will love. Around Christmas is always a favorite time of year for family oriented films and this year there are a lot of them! The CG technology allows for more visual and expanded scenery plus adding that old wooden boat that could not possibly actually float in real time. All come together to create a family fun movie for the holidays!
