"Cats" is a 2019 British-American musical film, directed by Tom Hooper and based on the musical of the same name by Andrew Lloyd Webber, which in turn was based on T.S. Eliot's 1939 poetry collection "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats". The film features an ensemble cast including James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson, and Francesca Hayward. It was released on December 20, 2019, and received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics and audiences alike.

So kids, watching a movie will feel themselves like at the lesson of history in junior high, where it is very lucidly explained that children born from gods and humans, are called demigods, and that Athena has long feud with Poseidon. Of course, the situation that the Greek gods live in America, but still continue to enter into relations with ordinary citizens, looks more than a comic. But in the movie there is no explanation for this divine movement. If you forgive this fact, you will definitely consider Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief as a good adventure movie for the teenagers.

The latest thriller from Academy Award winning director, Steven Soderbergh is Contagion. A film about a rapidly moving epidemic that is spreading world wide and can travel as fast as a jet airplane because those who have been contaminated are on board. With the assistance and advisement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention plus some scientific advisors on board the crew this is one scary premise that could almost actually happen with the right sets of circumstances. ritten by Scott Z Burns (The Bourne Ultimatum) and ably directed by Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich) Contagion takes viewers to Hong King, the UK, Switzerland, Japan, Dubai, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Chicago as the danger spreads, demonstrating how dangerous an outbreak of a deadly disease could actually be. Big name cast includes Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting, The Bourne series) as Thomas Emhoff, Kate Winslet (All The King's Men, The Holiday) portrays Dr. Erin Mears, Gwyneth Paltrow (Country Strong, Iron Man 2) is Beth Emhoff, and Laurence Fishburne (Predators, Armored) is Dr. Ellis Cheever. Doctors work together in hopes of stopping the Contagion before it spreads around the globe.

If nothing else, "Tron: Legacy" is another masterpiece of Disney marketing. Released during the 2010 holiday season, "Tron: Legacy" comes with video game sold separately, and Academy Award winner built-in. Jeff Bridges stars as Kevin Flynn, video-game developer who mysteriously disappeared twenty years ago. The studio's logline reads, "An ambitious hacker transports himself into cyberspace to pull off the ultimate hack." Translation: Garrett Hedlund plays Sam Flynn who jumps into his father's video game universe to rescue him. Identifying with the movie's heroes, avid gamers report, "They created this kind of seamless line between the game and the movie."""Tron: Legacy" is visually stunning. Recent advances in CGI enable the characters, weapons, and landscape to radiate off the screen and envelope the audience. The battles live up to their "epic" billing. Just as importantly, Olivia Wilde brilliantly plays fearless warrior Quorra, who leads dad and kid on their perilous journey across the world dad created. Beau Garrett, a frequent Olivia Wilde screen partner, plays Siren Jem, the perfect foil to Quorra.

Almost entire Roland Emmerich's career was devoted to t sci-fi movies. After moving to Hollywood, he continued to develop this genre: Universal Soldier, Stargate. And now, having reached some success in science fiction and received from producers large enough budget., Emmerich took up shooting the movie, who would later will be written in cinema history as one of the most popular of the genre: The Independence Day. "The movie immediately impress by the scale and epics. If there is the alien invasion, then it should be all over the world immediately. If there are the alien saucers, then they are extremely large. The plot immediately surprises you by the presence of nearly a dozen main characters, who at first seemed to be completely unrelated. It was only towards the end they were organically become the part of the storyline. By the way, the plot is a chronicle of alien invasion, consisting of detailed descriptions of the three days before the main holiday of the United States - July 4.

When the biography of Abraham Lincoln, Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is found, it was discovered to be based upon secret diaries old Abe kept himself. Soon the rumors began to fly surrounding our 16th President. Henry Surges penned the bio based on some of the writings found in Abe's diaries and the story came to life. This was all a result of revenge over unpaid debts incurred by grandpa Thomas. This is a "tongue in cheek" movie at best and does contain some historic incidence but mostly is played as a "what if" and is fun!tarring Benjamin Walker (Flags of our Fathers, Unconscious) as Abe Lincoln in the years before the Civil War. He travels down to New Orleans on the Mississippi River by flatboat with plans to sell goods and encounters a slave auction which affects him deeply. Following a slave buyer Abe discovers the buyer to be a vampire who is buying slaves for food and not for resale. Fiction but nun the less a very fascinating look at history as it might have been!
