Glenn Close first fell in love with the Albert Nobbs character and played the part back in 1982 in an off Broadway play. She purchased the rights and began working to make this highly entertaining film. ross dressing is something that has always been controversial and remains in use today even by mothers in Afghanistan who dress their young daughters up to appear like boys so they won't be harassed in public. "Belfast" is a drama film directed by Kenneth Branagh. The story is set in 1969 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and is told from the perspective of a young boy named Buddy. Buddy's family is caught up in the tensions and violence of the Troubles, which were a period of conflict between Irish nationalists and unionists.

Upon her return from college Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan has a new and much more open mindedness to her philosophy in life. She wants to be a writer and takes on the task of getting the local black women, long considered the hired help in their Deep South area, to open up and talk of their lives and ambitions. This is a bad time and worse part of the country to attempt this but Skeeter is determined. At first the black women refuse to speak but then one and another speak up. New friendships will be forged and the times are changing for both races in this heartfelt Walt Disney Picture. mma Stone (Zombieland, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) is Skeeter Phelan, the intrepid writer. Sissy Spacek (Coal Miner's Daughter, Carrie) plays the Missus Walters, Aibileen (played by Viola Davis from Eat, Pray, Love) is the first to begin speaking with the writer. And Aunjanue Ellis (The Good Wife, Motherhood) is Yule Mae Davis who also opens up with her story of life as one of "The Help" in the deep south of the 1960's. And they have a lot to say.

Young Tyler Doherty writes Letters to God every day. The boy is seriously ill and only faith gives him the courage to fight a terrible disease. Dazed postman Brady McDaniels does not deliver letter to the addressee, of course. But after reading them, be inspired by the courage of the child and be able to find the strength to deal with his alcohol addiction.

Back when World War I was about to begin so was an odd friendship between Psychiatrist Sigmund Freud and a young fledgling shrink, Carl Jung. There is also a beautiful woman that creates conflicts between the two men and also the fact that psychoanalysis is in its formative years. This combination makes for some rather dangerous methods of treating mental patients and those who can't quite cope with society. Canadian director David Cronenberg (The Brood, Scanners) may be somewhat out of his element with this story because it's more talky than his usual action packed films. Starring Viggo Mortensen (The Lord of the Rings series) as Freud, Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds, Fish Tank) as Jung, and Keira Knightley (Atonement, Pirates of the Caribbean series) as the beautiful Sabina Spielrein, the woman who comes between Jung and Freud. She eventually became a successful therapist in her own right. Considered a historical film, A Dangerous Method deals with what happened back when psychotherapy was in its infancy and how psychiatrists learned how to best help those with mental problems.
