Based on a graphic novel from 2006, Cowboys & Aliens is the latest offering from Steven Spielberg and producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. It takes place in Arizona back in 1873 and we find a loner, Jake Lonergan played by actor Daniel Craig (Quantum of Solace) who wakes up to find he has no memories of his past but mysteriously finds he has a shackle on his wrist. As he moves on he discovers he is a wanted man and needs to align himself with the man who runs Absolution, Arizona Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde played by Harrison Ford (of Indiana Jones fame). When it is discovered the shackle on Jake's arm is a vital clue to his past, he and Dolarhyde must take a stand against a mysterious foe who seems to be all powerful. Woodrow Dolarhyde is the man and he totally rules the town of Absolution as Craig and the viewing audience soon become to realize and his shackle holds the key to solving the mystery. Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, Olivia Wilde, and Keith Carradine head up a quality cast.

Interstellar is a 2014 science fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine. Physicist Kip Thorne served as executive producer. The film's production dates back to 2007, when brothers Christopher and Jonathan Nolan originally wrote the script, and its epic production cycle has manifested epic results. Written by John Landis and his son, Max, Chronicle takes the audience on a rollercoaster ride of adventure as we watch three teenaged boys who learn they are developing superpowers after exposure to some mysterious substances while walking through the woods nearby their homes. Typical of many teenagers these boys find they have a rather dark side to their personalities when their strange and powerful new capabilities become increasingly strong. They each must decide how best to handle their powers and while impressive, they can also be dangerous to themselves and others. ohn Landis is well known as director of such fun and entertaining movies as Animal House and American Werewolf in London and now teams up with his son, Max to come up with this delightful film. Shot in a pretend documentary style, and using hand held cameras (think Blair Witch Project), Chronicle is entertaining and enlightening.tars Michael B. Riddick (2013), which previously was titled as The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking is the third movie of the Riddick franchise. The first one was low budget Pitch Black, which was filmed in 2000. This film gave a start both for The Chronicles of Riddick franchise and Vin Diesel career. The movie was a "sleeper hit" grossing over US$53 million in theaters with budget less than US$23 million. The second film in the franchise, The Chronicles of Riddick was less successful in profits: it generated over US$115 million with budget around US$100 million, but met mostly positive audience feedback, although critics met it with tepid reviews. Nevertheless, the third movie is aimed to repeat the success of the first film: it has relatively low budget grossing around US$38 million. The story of the Riddick (2013) revolves around the antihero, Richard B. Riddick. He is left on the scorched planet inhabited by alien predators. When he manages to activate an alarm beacon, it attracts the attention of two spaceships. The first one carries the hordes of thugs hired to kill Riddick, while the second one is captained by the man well known to him. Uncommon intelligence and inhuman strength help Riddick to use these guests to get away from the planet, commit an act of retaliation and rescue the people of his homeworld planet Furya from mass destruction.

It's far into the future and due to an overpopulate planet desperate measures must be put to use in order to survive. Now we find that people will have to pay if they wish to live past the age of 25. Seems the gene that ages us has been successfully switched off and people stop aging when they reach the ripe old age of 25. There is a clock stamped on each person's arm that dictates how long that individual will live. Time is a precious commodity that now is seen as the currency by which life is able to be sustained and even to accumulate any form of luxury and necessity. Rich will then be able to live on forever while those who have little find their lives cut short. e find that a poor young man who has been accused of a murder is seemingly doomed until he inherits a vast fortune in time from an upper class dead man. Time keepers are corrupt police who catch those who are rewarded with extra time such as the case of the young accused man and they aim to end his time and his life as well.
