Mob Wives is called a "documentary soap opera" with good reason. It is a story about people who don't exist because there is no such thing as the Mob or Cosa Nostra or Mafia! But there are those living among us who know better. The housewives, parents, and children of mob and criminal related individuals are shadowy figures who live in the background of their powerful husbands and fathers until the bad guys get caught and must spend time behind bars. Then these formerly quiet and reserves ladies capably take matters in their own hands and go about their lives. The four Mob Wives include a group of friends who support each other while their men are away and it's no easy task to attempt to maintain a lifestyle they've become used to when the main bread winner of the family is away incarcerated. James Molinaro, who is President of the Borough of Staten Island in New York has declared the show is a disgrace because it portrays not only Italian Americans but also Staten Island itself as being lowlife and detrimental.

Think of "The Mentalist" as USA Network's "Psych" with prettier people, more money, slightly more upscale locations, and shorter sentences. Working as a consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation, Patrick Jane"”expertly played with appropriate style and savoir faire by Simon Baker"”uses his exceptionally well-honed powers of observation to solve big-time homicides. Of course, a life-changing tragedy inspired him to use his (almost) super-powers for good. Summing-up his new-found crime-fighter philosophy, Jane flatly declares, "There's no such thing as real psychics. Anyone who claims to have a sixth sense is either deluded or dishonest." Like all of television's elite criminalists, "The Mentalist" shows that refined powers of observation are at least as rare and valuable as ESP. Best of all, "The Mentalist" always looks wonderfully fashionable as he nabs the bad guy.

Intriguingly balancing on the edge of documentary crime-storytelling and emotional movie-styled eye witnessing, Final Witness leaves weird feelings after the first watching. Although, all the described events really took place in the American cities from New Orleans to San Francisco, there is a kind of strange feeling originated from the series too emotional background, the feeling making unbelievable these rapes, murders and homicide acts are the real life events.
