The second in row franchise of Housewives, The Real Housewives of New York City is a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Orange County stared in 2008. In the nutshell of this reality TV series lays on simple idea: to show real live of rich women in some way everybody wants to see it. They are rich; some of them own their business, as Ramona Singer who runs clothes wholesale company RMS Fashions and skin care brand TruRenewal. Unlike the others wives both current and former, she and Heather Thomson are the only real businesswomen in series. The rest of them are musicians (as LuAnn de Lesseps), writers (Sonja Morgan), journalists (Carole Radziwill) and just rich woman (Aviva Drescher). You can hardly find the differences between "New York City" housewives and other spin-offs like "New Jersey", "Beverly Hills" and "Orange County". However, if you like this kind of reality television you will definitely find The Real Housewives of New York City notably entertaining.

Today the do-it-yourself home video market is extremely busy and popular. Almost anyone who has a cell phone or digital camera can shoot some video any time and anywhere. MTV brings the Funniest Home Video idea into homes with a bunch of amateurish videos that have gone internet viral and for one reason or another, have grabbed the attention of a wide audience. "Amazing Race" TV series producers insist the challenges represent customs and traditions in the country or among the people where the teams contest them. The first team to reach the ultimate destination collects a cool $1 million in American dollars. In addition to avoiding elimination from the competition, the teams frequently must struggle to repress their homicidal urges as stress, exhaustion, mysterious languages and even more mysterious currencies take their toll on once-loving relationships. The race rewards tolerance and resourcefulness as teams travel by just about every imaginable mode of transport: if it somehow moves people over land or water, the racers have used it. When all else fails, contestants just tough-it-out on foot. Although the race is as obviously contrived as anything ever shown American television viewers, the emotional dramas and physical challenges are compellingly real". So try the hybrid: "The Amazing Race," television's first "reality television game show"

"Kourtney and Kim Take New York" chronicles the continuing adventures of the unmarried Kardashian sisters as they work their strange magic on adoring fans in the Big Apple. Like magnets among loose nails, the girls draw a crowd wherever they go, cameras stalking every step. Viewers enjoy more of the intense Kardashian programming they apparently craved and demanded. On any given day, E! empowers you to keep up with some kind of Kardashian in at least three ways during approximately twelve hours of non-stop first-letter-"K" programming. If it weren't for the success of Chelsea Handler, E! News, renegade women fleeing the Playboy mansion, and "Fashion Police," the Kardashians would fill entire programming days. Apropos of "reality" programming, "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" has neither plot nor script, but it has plenty of "situations." Kim, more or less determined to remain single for an entire year, nevertheless has no qualms about exciting hook-ups with assorted styles and flavours of eligible New York bachelors. Kourtney, ostensibly the more level-headed and businesslike of the two, apparently lives vicariously through Kim. Together, they allegedly run a business in-between pictorials, promotions, parties, and "Patron"-powered club appearances. Moralists might worry, as "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," they corrupt an entire generation of impressionable "˜tween girls, but studies show thirteen-year-old boys are the Kardashian sisters' biggest demographic.

The premise here is that Devin Grissom, lovely and lovable Southern gal from the state of Alabama needs to find a man who can win her heart, and please her family as well. A dedicated sports fan (especially football), Devin wants her future to include someone who can keep her happy forever just like her folks who were high school sweethearts. In this reality series she can choose from among 20 fellows, ten country guys and ten from the big city. The men compete in various challenges in hopes of winning some time with the Southern Belle, and at the end of each episode she tells one suitor goodbye for good. Among the competitors are: Adam Moyer grew up on a horse farm and compares the personalities of horses to women. Tribble Reese, a Birmingham, Alabama bartender and former college football player. Collin Varallo, southern gent and landscaper who prefers to court southern belles. Jason Maxim, Hollywood California entrepreneur with his own line of "Maxim" products to offer. Michael Dean, extremely health conscious personal trainer from Las Vegas who's looking for a down home southern gal to get serious about. Brian Wilson, French speaking music manager from LA who's mother who travelled with him and his siblings around the world.
