Sitting on the 15th place in The Greatest Directors of All Time list, Woody Allen is a talented writer, who has got more Oscars than fingers on both of your hands. And his next masterpiece To Rome with Love is likely to bring him another one (an Oscar, of course, not a finger). The events of the movie, that seem to be unconnected at the first blush, are masterfully intertwined with each other, mostly not physically, but spiritually, which is an Allen's bonanza anyway. The first story follows a famous NY architect, Jack (Jesse Eisenberg: 30 Minutes or Less, The Social Network) who is nothing more than a younger "reflection" of John (Alec Baldwin: The Good Shepherd, The Departed), who is trying to go back in the past to his youth. Another story is Antonio (Alessandro Tiberi) and Milly's (Alessandra Mastronardi) amorous drama which they are going through separately. This story also involves an Italian prostitute Anna (Penélope Cruz: Broken Embraces, Vicky Cristina Barcelona), and Italian cinema celebrity Luca Salta (Antonio Albanese). There are two other stories (or vignettes) that seem to be separated and unconnected but all of them are nothing more than beads on a curved string of life. By the way, Woody Allen has refuted the assumption of vignette intersection, leaving the audience an opportunity to decide what unites the stories.

It was quite unexpectedly, when the author of dark and gloomy superhero epics Mark Steven Johnson made a very light and romantic movie, full of freshness and good mood. Among the many romantic comedies that you've seen recently, When in Rome compares favorably with impeccable accuracy and integrity in terms of directing. Everything was filmed very cleverly and subtly. There is no vulgarity, even sweaty one. This is an outstanding entertaining movie without exaggeration.

Remember Me became the first film with Robert Pattison after the "New Moon". It is a brief and very New York style story to get off the vampire obsession to prove that wistful look not the only one of his skills. The proof turned out to be week and Pattison fate is still uncertain. So, Remember Me movie is notable by something that don't relies on Pattison, but just because of its uncommon asperity. To be clear it is what for every critic hated this film: the second-rate ideas, coupled with the willingness to borrow everything from the classical movies. There are three things to indulgent this movie: Pattison is handsome, Emilie de Ravin is still the same smart and Pierce Brosnan gives meaning and value for every scene he appears…

In order to finally sell it, he plans a trip across the USA, but the organic cleaner is not the only reason, his real aim is to help his recently widowed mother, Joyce to find her lost love in San Francisco (Barbara Streisand) where Andy plans to stop for a while. She knows nothing about the surprise, and it's impossible to predict how the things will turn out. Even, if the storyline does not look very promising for you, the movie is definitely worth to be watch by one only reason – to see the phenomenal play of phenomenal woman, Barbara Streisand. Filmed on 2012 by Anne Fletcher, The Guilt Trip could be an exiting entertaining experience for you, especial if you are a fan of Barbara.

Letters to Juliet is an unbeatable summer melodrama about the simple fact: love is not a sausage – it has not expiry date. It is a kind of conceptual sequel to "From 13 to 30" of the same Gary Winick. In the film, 13-year-old girl trapped in the body of the Thirty Years' coquette, but here in "Letters to Juliet" it seems, there has been movement in the opposite direction - from 70 to 13. Mature sagacity lady returned to the age of the great dreams of stainless love, which has no expiration date and is happy to wait at least half a century, only to flare up with a new, triple the force. On the other hand, it is nice that the boundaries are shifted. Previously, it was necessary to have the certain courage to say: in 40 years, life has just begun. In this search of happy live, the couple make some fateful decision, that casts the doubt on how is really in need this courses were to revive the love which never disappeared.
