Premiered on the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, Brian Klugman's and Lee Sternthal's The Words stars the pleiad of brilliant actors: Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dennis Quaid and Jeremy Irons. And even if you are not an admirer of Olivia and Zoe beauty nor fan of Bradley and Denis play, you will be definitely vanquished by outstanding screenplay of this movie. Although it was a directorial debut of Klugman and Sternthal, the film has gained mostly positive reviews from critics. Three stories nested on in one as Russian Matrioshka, each with separate narration and distinctive filming style fascinate you with an extraordinary tightly knitted plot about thievery of novel, a common plagiarism that encounters on every corner of the world. And as it often happens in a true life, this stealing never leads to a happier life. In The Words, a stagnating writer Rory Jansen, who has totally surrounded to a life of boredom without any glimpse of inspiration, suddenly finds a mysterious manuscript which turns to be an unbelievable exciting novel. Rory decides to publish this novel as his own thanks to the fact the manuscript was not signed by author. Years later, basking in the rays of glory, he meets The Old Man, who apparently turns to be the novel's creator. From that moment Rory gradually understands what price he has to pay for his false success.

Filmed in 2012, Taken 2 is Olivier's Megaton sequel of Taken which was previously produced in cooperation with Luc Besson in 2008. The sequel's scenario was written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen who wrote the screenplays for Besson's Transporters and Fifth Element. The plot of Taken 2 is continuing the story of the first movie, where special agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) rescues his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from taken as the hostage by Albanian mobs specializing in kidnapping teenagers to sell them into sexual slavery. The events of Taken 2 start just after the father of one of trhe Albanian mobs, who was killed by Bryan Mills, learns about murder of his son and swears to kill Bryan. This Albanian Mafioso, who is called Murad (Rade Е erbedЕѕija) abducts Byan's ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen), while she is on her vacation in Istanbul, counting on Bryan to come and rescue her. His masterplan seems to be successful one and he captivates Bryan alongside with Lenore hoping to kill them both. In this situation Bryan enlists their daughter Kim instructing her how to rescue them using special tactic: to kill Albanian mobs one by one in some specific ways.

"Jennifer 8" is a crime thriller film released in 1992 and directed by Bruce Robinson. The story follows a Los Angeles police officer named John Berlin who relocates to a small town in California after experiencing a traumatic event. As he settles into his new job, he becomes involved in a serial killer investigation targeting blind women. While trying to solve the case, Berlin meets a young woman named Helena, who becomes a potential target for the killer.

Directed and produced by Allen Hughes, Broken City, stars quite stellar cast: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg. The movie tells a story about a policeman, Billy Taggart (Mark Wahlberg) who finds himself in the midst of serious issues aroused after a questionable shooting on the New York streets. Faced the 99% probability to be sentenced and jailed for indefinite period of time, he cross his steps with NY Mayor, Nicholas Hostetler (Russell Crowe), who helps him to get out of troubles. Meanwhile, Billy starts a private investigator career thanks to help of his new "friend", Nicholas. The friendship has its additional advantages: Billy gets some" bonus jobs". The only doubts he has about these "bonuses" - how lawful they are. Soon, he gets quite unordinary task from Mayor: to trail Mrs Hostetler and investigate her extra-martial adventures. The "bonus" worth 50,00USD – a quite desirable sum of money for Billy. He is eager to make a deal and manages to gather facts of Mrs Hostetler adultery in very timely manner. However, an easy task turns out be even worse nightmare then troubles that left him stripped of badge.

"Nightcrawler" is a 2014 thriller film that tells the story of Lou Bloom, a desperate and ambitious young man who discovers the world of freelance crime journalism in Los Angeles. Using a police scanner and a video camera, Lou begins to capture footage of violent crimes and accidents, which he then sells to local news stations. As Lou's career takes off, he becomes increasingly ruthless and manipulative, crossing ethical boundaries and putting himself and others in danger.

High level of realism and plausible scenes of true life of the street gangs and the cops being in state of permanent war with each other are the bold line that is piercing the dramatic plot of End of Watch. The story about friendship between two police officers Taylor and Zavala. Officer Taylor is portrayed by Jake Gyllenhaal, whose identity has not necessarily to introduce. Everybody is familiar with him performing the leading roles in Source Code, Love and Other Drugs and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Officer Zavala is played by Michael Peña, who may be less know to the mass audience, but you could distinctly remember him playing the second plan roles in such movies as The Lincoln Lawyer (Jesus Martinez), Tower Heist (Enrique Dev'Reaux) and 30:Minutes or Less (Chango). Although it's pertinent to say here that Michael was participating in some serious projects at the moment when End of Watch are coming the big screens: Tom Gianas's and Ross Shuman's animated comedy Hell & Back, David Soren's Turbo (animated, too) and biographical Chavez by Diego Luna. oing back to the movie storyline: both the plot and filming present the outlandish combination of frightening realism (all the footage was made by the handheld HD cameras and the street surveillance cameras) with courage of two brave cops patrolling the most dangerous places of the city.
