Sketches are a comics best format for television and Nick Swardson has a show that's loaded with them. Each episode displays some sort of rank and raunchy humorous ingredients that will make 7th graders giggle and adults cover their heads. But along the way some of it is actually funny even if rather dark. Skits about cats in wheelchairs, snipers who masturbate, and incestual dreams involving the Nightmare on Elm Street movies are unusual fare for family television nights and when the show's main character sits and tells us about what we are about to see we begin to wonder what world this is. Nick's dead cat, Fitzgerald, is fair game for another episode as are a fatherly bucket list for a dying son, urine powered cars, and even a Gay Robot. Never one to be short on "off the wall" ideas, Nick Swardson's Pretend Time will give viewers a peek into a rather weird place, the mind of Swardson. Imagine, if you will, recovering a time capsule full of sex objects, or following Gay Robot as he buys airplane tickets to visit the alien probe site (area 51 come to mind?), or maybe learn how a forest ranger steps in to break up intimate moments between homosexuals. The TV show Greek (originally GRΣΣK) is all about belonging to a fraternity and yet it's even more a family program that caters to family relationships and closeness. College settings are fun and often depict the wildness that does occur while attending a college or university. Most everyone is full of youthful energy and are ready to test the boundaries of their young lives. The cast includes frat members, alumni, and a house mother Casey Cartwright (played by Spencer Grammer) who attempts to keep the house in order and not on the Dean's list. Other cast members include Clark Duke as Dale Kettlewell, Scott Michael Foster as the Captain John Paul "Cappie" Jones, and Paul James as Calvin Owens. Frat houses as we learn are somewhat specialized by their curriculum and several were depicted on the program including Zeta Beta Zeta which is a sorority that caters to those interested in athletics, philanthropy, and academics. Omega Chi Delta offers students that are specializing in networking, academics, and athletics a place to call home while they attend that facility of "higher learning".

Shot in the fashionable "mockumentary" style, allegedly compiled by a foreign exchange student from Sweden, "Modern Family" shows three branches of the Pritchett family tree: Pater familia Jay Pritchett has married Gloria, a much younger, beautiful, passionate and outspoken Columbian, who brings her somewhat unconventional son, Manny, into the family with her. Jay's daughter Claire has married real estate broker Phil Dunphy, and they have three children--Haley, a boy-crazy, attitude-rich high school diva; Alex"”short for Alexis"”a gifted, insightful, but somewhat awkward tween cello player; and Luke, who is cluelessly stumbling through life and elementary school. Jay's son Mitchell, an attorney, and Cameron, his gay partner, have adopted a VietNamese daughter, Lily; and they are adjusting to partnership and parenthood all at once. Together, the family struggles through the predictable crises of everyday life. Spectacular writing distinguishes the show, and its perfectly chosen ensemble cast looks and feels like families who live just up the street. In 2010, at the middle of its first record-breaking season, "Modern Family" collected six Emmy Awards, including the much-coveted award for Outstanding Comedy Series. "Modern Family" also collected a Writer's Guild Award, a Peabody Award, a Directors' Guild Award, and a Television Critics Award.

Alex Meyers, played by Amanda Peet (Syriana, Griffin and Phoenix) is a no nonsense attorney who is recently divorced and in need of having her kitchen renovated. She hires Pete (played by David Walton from Quarterlife, Heist) has a reputation as a irresponsible womanizing guy who is trying to rebuild his career as a contractor and leave his promiscuous ways and gambling habits behind him. Alex's husband was imprisoned for insider trading struggles to keep her life on track and raise her daughter Charlie Meyers (Joey King from Ghost Whisperer, Crazy, Stupid Love) is a typical 8 year old who is wise way beyond her years. Contractor Pete's father is played by Jeffrey Tambor from Arrested Development, The Hangover, a want to be musician who livens up things mostly because he is such a funny guy! With plenty of great comedy writing and people to deliver it well this show will keep audiences laughing for a long time!

Emily Owens is "a fresh blood" in Denver Memorial Hospital where she just started to work. To her surprise, everyone in the Hospital is behaving like all the action takes place in a high school. But not only the action even a characters are the same: to her joy and awkward happiness - her med school classmate Dr. Will Collins (Emily had a crush on) works here too; as a bad thing to balance a good one "“ her school-time nemesis Cassandra Kopelson is hanging out nearby, looking ready to make Emily's life intolerable. However, our heroine manages to enlist the help of one of her mentors: Dr. Micah Barnes (Michael Rady), who oversees fresh interns and to befriend with first-year surgical resident Tyra Dupre (Kelly McCreary). Besides the awkward moments showcased in almost every scene where we see Emily, there is one only thing that makes everyone uncomfortable to watch Emily Owens M.D. "“ the idea of "what this clumsy young being is doing here, in real-life hospital, as the real-life doctor, who is definitely should be responsible for the lives of patients?" From the other hand, it's just a TV show and all that mess is made by actors by screenplay, and while the last one thing is questionable, first one (the ensemble cast) looks perfect. Main protagonist, Emily Owen, is portrayed by inimitable Mamie Gummer, while her "sweetheart" Dr. Will Collins is played by Justin Hartley (a star of Smallville).

Premiered on September 25, 2012, Ben and Kate is adorable FOX-produced situation comedy, has immediately got lots of positive critic reviews. There are lots of reasons for this, and one of them is a brilliant ensemble cast. Not in the sense of presence of some top-paid actors in the series, but in the sense of amazing chemistry between the leading roles actress and actor: Dakota Johnson and Nat Faxon. They play adult brother and sister, how has grown up in totally different characters with lots of opposite traits. Kate (played by Dakota Johnson) is a lone mother, who is raising a daughter, trying to make ends meet by working hard as bar manager, while Ben (Nat Faxon) on his turn has had no special purpose in his life and just remained a child. The show begins when Ben decides that her sister lives a very uneasy life and decides to help her by moving in to her flat. All the Ben and Kate plot is build upon a laughable situations that arise in numerous quantity around their almost-as family life. Ben is trying hard, giving her sister lots of advices on how to establish strong relationship with men from a very first date, while Kate endeavors to familiarize his brother with a real adult life.
