Randy is determined to regain his former glory and find purpose in his life, despite his declining health and strained relationships.

As the story unfolds, we witness Randy's struggle to make ends meet by taking on low-paying wrestling gigs while also working at a supermarket. He forms a connection with a stripper named Cassidy and attempts to rebuild his relationship with his estranged daughter, Stephanie. However, Randy's obsession with his wrestling persona and his refusal to accept the realities of his physical limitations put his personal connections at risk.

"The Wrestler" delves into themes of identity, sacrifice, and the price of pursuing one's passion. The film received critical acclaim for its raw and authentic portrayal of the wrestling subculture and Mickey Rourke's powerful performance as Randy. It offers a poignant and introspective exploration of the human spirit, showcasing the physical and emotional toll of a life dedicated to an art form that demands everything from its performers.
