Ryan Seacrest has been MC for the entire run of American Idol and he is a former disk jockey who knows something about musical talent himself. Viewers get to watch some contestants stumble and fail because they simply don't have what it takes to perform while the occasional super talent will come along and truly shine, then move on to become the next American Idol.

"The Cube" is a TV show that first aired in 2021. It features contestants who have to complete challenges inside a 4-meter by 4-meter cube. The challenges vary in difficulty and test different skills such as agility, balance, and coordination. The show is hosted by comedian and actor, Dwyane Wade, and is known for its high stakes and suspenseful atmosphere.

Watch MTV and the iTunes for episodes of the new hit show Geordie Shore and you will see similarities to the popular Jersey Shore. For one thing the show has its own group of "party hard" individuals who live together in an upscale house, share bedrooms, and each as their own reasons to be there. The Geordie Shore show is a British based program coming from the UK and having decidedly British points of view. The filming of Geordie Shore has been stated to be bordering pornographic due to bare breasts, six packs, fights, and simulated fellatio. Each of these vain individuals have their own reasons to submit to "reality" television. Holly states she is the most realistic "fake" person there is and her size double F chest (paid for by her mom) is a testament to that. Then there is Jay who loves himself too much to get involved with a female on the Geordie Shore show. His idea of a relationship is about him and his workouts at the gym. James, who is only 20, must check himself out each time he passes a mirror. Sophie likes to flash her "boobs" while dancing on table tops. Quite an interesting group!

Ever since Candid Camera way back in TV show history there has been a wicked delight in watching ordinary people be caught up in pranks that wind up being out loud laughably funny. Shows such as Totally Hidden Video, TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes, Pranked, and Punk'd have each had something in common and that was to watch as ordinary people who do ordinary things can be extremely funny when things don't go just quite right. Betty White takes that brand of humor to another level when her crew of blue haired senior citizens turn the tables on much younger people. They play pranks on the young resilient generation and show they still have a broad sense of humor too. Starring and hosted by the venerable 90 year old Betty White who has seen her career blossom and her life become increasingly busy recently gives us the chance to laugh out loud at ourselves through the cameras provided by NBC. If the younger set were to play practical jokes on the seniors the show would lose much of its humor but in this case the senior citizens prevail.
