Reasonably well adapted from big screen to small, "Highlander" showed the continuing exploits of Duncan MacLeod, super-annuated Highland warrior challenged to fight evil in the modern world. Unlike modern crime fighters who rely on DNA and cyber-tracking, MacLeod battled malefactors the old-fashioned way"”with valor, virtue, courage, and a healthy dose of vengeance. Every "Highlander" episode began with the same ritual narrative: "I am Duncan MacLeod, born four-hundred years ago in the Highlands of Scotland. I am Immortal, and I am not alone." In the first six episodes, Duncan himself delivered the preamble. MacLeod and his girlfriend, Tessa Noel, cleverly and comfortably have adapted to modern life, and they hide effortlesly in plain sight, operating an upscale antique store. From the very first iteration of the preamble, viewers understand MacLeod is by no means the only Immortal roaming the streets and subways, and not all of them are nearly so noble as MacLeod. Although he had hung-up his mace, MacLeod now has chosen to rejoin "The Game" for the sake of defending everything he cherishes as good and right. For many contemporary viewers, MacLeod represents the ever-living proof of the old adage, "Old guys rule."

A 1983 mini-series gets a 2011 make-over, more sinister and creepy than ever. As "V" begins, hunormous space ships appear over twenty-nine major cities around the world, and Anna, leader of the technologically advanced alien species piloting the spacecraft, assures terrified earthlings she and her people come in peace. Of course, Anna is lying. Anna goes on to explain that she and her extra-terrestrial pals need just a few Earth resources, and they willingly will trade their medical and electronic wizardry for the few items on their shopping lists. FBI counter-terrorism ace Erica Evans quickly sees through the deception, gaining a very few powerful allies as the affable visitors curry favor among the locals. "V" writers, directors, and producers clearly understand the dynamics of terror and suspense, and they especially know how to plot a cliff-hanger. "V" attracted legions of loyal viewers during its premier season in spring, 2010, and it left thousands of beguiling plot possibilities for its 2011 season. Every "V" viewer anticipates the inevitable, imminent Anna-Erica smackdown, and Earth's future turns on the outcome"”"appointment television" for sure.

Is this destined to be simply another alien invasion movie that scares the daylights out of most of us? Or will it have more to offer than merely a chaotic aftermath depicting the results from heartless alien beings that want to take over this magnificent planet. This television series starts out at six months post invasion and we find the citizenry has been cut down to a few survivors who have banded together in hopes of fighting back. Citizen soldiers have been chosen in an attempt to protect those in their care and set up an insurgency campaign that will fend off the aliens. The aliens and their ships are fascinating to look at, mostly thanks to the imagination of Spielberg and DreamWorks Television, but it remains to be seen if this has much originality in the story line considering the basic idea has been redone many times. As the citizens are cruelly tested on a daily basis an ex college professor played by Noah Wyle (Librarian movies, ER) leads a group of civilians and soldiers as they strive to win against alien forces who are intent on occupying earth. Ann Glass, Drew Roy, and Maxim Knight also star.

An ultimately glorious opening in 2012, Revolution, tells us a story about post-apocalyptic future where the blood and soul of our technically advanced world has totally dissappeared "“ the Electricity. Imagine, that in one disastrous moment some unknown phenomena will switch off all the electricity on the planet. Forever. Imagine the world without computers, batteries, machinery, lamps, automobiles, airplanes, ships and train. It's needless to say that would be the world without a bank system, a medical system, a policy and, as the result without the power at all. In Revolution, these tiny forces allowing the electrons to run inside the devices wires are all run out in one moment all over the Earth and nobody knows why and what to do in order to restore it. The Revolution action takes place after fifteen years since the "blackout" "“ the humanity is not even looks similar to what we now mean by this word. There are no United States of America, but there are lots of small republics, counties and anarchies "“ all ruled by cruel leaders. One of those leaders Sebastian "Bass" Monroe (played by David Lyons: Eat Pray Love, The Cape and Mobius) is on the hunt for a man who wears a strange amulet (it looks exactly as USB flash drive), Aaron Pittman, a former Google executive, who received this "amulet" from his friend, Ben Matheson. The "amulet" appears to be a real USB data storage, and when we learn that Ben passed it secretly to Aaron just in seconds before the "blackout" it becomes absolutely clear that the USB-drive is somehow connected with the reason of "blackout" and may be a key to restore the electricity in the world.

In this make-believe world, geniuses and scientists co-exist in a town in Pacific Northwest, called Eureka. The American sci-fi series, Eureka TV Show, follows the lives of the brilliant townsfolk who mostly work for the Global Dynamics research center. All is not always well, even in the midst of scientists. Odd accidents (spurred by various scientific experiments) seem to always find their way in Eureka TV Show. There to save the day is the town's super-hero that does not even own a super-IQ. He is Jack Carter (played by Colin Ferguson), the local sheriff, who manages to solve one dangerous mystery after another.

Doctor Who TV Show is a BBC science fiction program which is revolving around a man referred to as "˜the Doctor' who claims to travel to space in what appears to be a blue 1950s police cruiser. However "˜the Doctor' is an alien time traveler that does what no one else has...He goes into outer space to investigate problems and battle mysterious monsters to undo any wrong that has been done. Doctor Who TV Show is the longest running program in the history of the world, because the story keeps on going, even if it is being redone by someone else.
