Since the DVD and Blu-Ray versions of TRON: Legacy have been big time sellers recently it seems like the future is secure for another sequel. TRON 3, 3-D version that continues on with the story line that began back in 1982, keeps the futuristic concept going while including more of the beautiful Olivia Wilde as the character known as Quorra. That persona was way underused according to many critics in the TRON: Legacy film and needed to be emphasized more. Wilde has become known for her “vamp” style roles, making her Quorra so low key she seemed to sleep through much of the movie and that needs to be livened up a bit. Jeff Bridges character met his demise in the Legacy film but who knows when he may reappear reincarnated or retrofitted. With emphasis placed on the characters in the story, the movie seemed to work best and that means Bridges needs to be there in some form or another. 3-D will add some visual appeal to the movie but even the original 1982 release had plenty to offer those interested in the visual “lightshow” effect presented in good sci-fi filming.
