Although the show has the look and feel of other seventies crime-drama hits from producer Steven J. Cannell, "The A-Team" aired between 1983 and 1986, when its inevitable associations with and allusions to VietNam Special Forces no longer provoked or disturbed anti-war viewers. Moreover, "The A-Team" piqued Americans' fierce devotion to underdogs, frequently reminding viewers how the lovable, wise-cracking misfits were framed"”fugitives from injustice, always aligning them with society's oppressed and disenfranchised, and often showing them "MacGivering" ingenious weapons from junkyard parts and duct tape"”the more insidious side of legendary American ingenuity. The TV show depicts day and night life of fictional character who is billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) at day and redoubtable vigilante "Green Arrow" at night. His story begins five years ago when irresponsible and careless masher, Oliver shipwrecks at inhabited island in the middle of Pacific Ocean. Considered to be dead he was faced lonesome life in dangerous environment for almost five years. The modern day Robinson Crusoe has to develop special abilities to survive the ordeal, the masterly wielding a bow was one of them. As he returns home, Oliver decides to hide his new skills from the entourage, and use them to fight all sorts of villains: corrupted officials, mob leaders, and common bandits. When night comes he puts on his dark green cloak over the perfect body (say hello to "single females" audience), takes his bow and arrows and goes on the streets of Starling City to restore the piece and order. But there is one thing more about Arrow: as Oliver Queen he ultimately wishes to return his ex-girlfriend Dinah Laurel Lance (played by Katie Cassidy: Emma Perkins from Monte Carlo)

Running for a total of 192 episodes, "Twenty-Four" series went into the record books as television's longest-running spy-themed series, eclipsing legends "The Avengers" and "Mission: Impossible." Kiefer Sutherland starred as Jack Bauer, counter-terrorism expert supreme. Bauer is the only character that recurred through all eight seasons, because different terrorist plots required radically different villains and a variety of corrupt government officials. Culled, of course, from the world of graphic novels, "No Ordinary Family" introduces us to Dad, Mom, and two teenagers beset with the normal collection of post-modern developmental and relational complaints, the youngest boasting the added difficulty of a learning disability. After surviving a light-plane crash in the Amazon, the family returns home to discover their ordeal has invested them with super-powers which seem to compensate precisely for their previous inadequacies. Still in its infancy, "No Ordinary Family" faces an unusual challenge: Can it continue developing the lives and times of a typical Southern California family even as it sets the fearsome foursome in hot pursuit of villains culled from the most frightening pages of graphic novels? If it succeeds, "No Ordinary Family" will have added a twenty-first century dimension to Walt Disney's concept of "the plausible impossible."

Charlie's Angels first came our way back in 1976 and was a huge hit! Now this "reboot" promises to be at least as successful as the original due to beauty and brilliant writing. Seems these three young, self confident, and self reliant women each have a rather shady past. One was a cat burglar, another was a dirty cop, and the third was booted out of the Marine Corps. But Charlie Townsend (Victor Garber), who just happens to be extremely wealthy and dedicated to fighting crime, helps these young ladies get back on the right track when he hires them to assist in solving crimes. As he directs them over the telephone we never actually see who Charlie is but just hear his voice. Abby Sampson (Rachel Taylor of Grey's Anatomy) is a thief who originally came from a wealthy family. Kate Prince (Annie Lionzeh formerly from General Hospital) is an ex cop who got involved with corruption while with the Miami PD. Then there is Gloria Morales (briefly played by Nadine Velazquez from My Name is Earl before the character is killed off). And once Gloria is killed in a car bombing she is replaced by Eve French (Minka Kelly most recently seen on Parenthood). Eve was close with Gloria and now she loves to race fast cars and chase down bad guys. Look for some well written scripts (Alfred Gough & Miles Millar) as well as plenty of fast action from these beauties!
