There are five Alphas who are dedicated to investigating and solving crimes, most of which have been perpetrated by other Alphas. The good Alphas work for the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, a branch of the Defense Department of the U.S. The basic good guys vs bad guys premise is made more interesting with the characters involved: Dr. Lee Rosen (played by David Strathairn from The Bourne Ultimatum, We Are Marshall), who studies other Alphas in order to stop their destructive tendencies. Gary Bell (played by Ryan Cartwright from TV's Mad Men & Bones) is autistic yet has certain abilities like processing info faster than any computer. Cameron Hicks (Warren Christie from Ties That Bind Us, Malibu Shark Attack) has the power of hyperkinesis which means his brain moves quickly, processing movements so he uses his eyesight to predict trajectory. Malik Yoba (Defying Gravity, That's So Raven) is Bill Harken, FBI agent with superhuman powers. Rachel Pirzad, formerly with the CIA as a linguist, finds she has abilities to heighten each of her five senses to detect things even by their chemical compound. Rachel is played by Azita Ghanizada (Castle, Friends With Benefits). Laura Mennell (Flight 93, Watchmen) plays Nina Theroux, young woman with the ability to mentally "push" or encourage people around her into doing whatever she wishes.

"Stargate Universe TV show" (aka SGU) premiered on Syfy in September, 2009, part of a larger Stargate franchise, which has a production history at least as complicated as the plots of all the Star Treks combined. Of course, the struggle for survival brings out the noblest qualities in the heroes, the vilest qualities in the villains, and hundreds of opportunities for uber-cool special effects.

It takes two to tango, likewise two topnotch police officers to take on supernatural cases. Meet the sleuthing duo of Warehouse 13 TV Show. U.S. Secret Service agents, Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Peter Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) get an odd promotion after saving the life of the president. They get assigned to Warehouse 13"”a state-run, well-hidden facility that keeps alien souvenirs, mythical relics and all sorts of hard-to-explain artifacts. Warehouse 13 TV Show features their caseworks together. Although this sci-fi series portrays the lives of American special agents, it has been entirely shot in Toronto, Quebec, Montreal and other parts of Canada.

An ultimately glorious opening in 2012, Revolution, tells us a story about post-apocalyptic future where the blood and soul of our technically advanced world has totally dissappeared "“ the Electricity. The Revolution action takes place after fifteen years since the "blackout" "“ the humanity is not even looks similar to what we now mean by this word. There are no United States of America, but there are lots of small republics, counties and anarchies "“ all ruled by cruel leaders. One of those leaders Sebastian "Bass" Monroe (played by David Lyons: Eat Pray Love, The Cape and Mobius) is on the hunt for a man who wears a strange amulet (it looks exactly as USB flash drive), Aaron Pittman, a former Google executive, who received this "amulet" from his friend, Ben Matheson. The "amulet" appears to be a real USB data storage, and when we learn that Ben passed it secretly to Aaron just in seconds before the "blackout" it becomes absolutely clear that the USB-drive is somehow connected with the reason of "blackout" and may be a key to restore the electricity in the world.

My Hero Academia is a Japanese manga series that has been adapted into an anime. It follows the story of a boy named Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a world where almost everyone has superpowers known as "Quirks." Unfortunately, Izuku is one of the rare people born without a Quirk, which means he cannot become a hero like his idol, All Might. Despite this setback, Izuku remains determined to become a hero, and his perseverance catches the attention of All Might, who decides to train him.

"Firefly" TV show lasted only eleven weeks on the Fox network, but it gained enough loyal followers to sell tons of DVDs. Given the strength of after-broadcast sales, writer-director Joss Whedon persuaded Universal Pictures to produce Serenity, a successful motion picture derived and adapted from his so-called "space-western." The "Firefly" television series also has morphed into graphic novels and a role-playing game. Set in 2517, "Firefly" shows the arrival of humans in a new star system aboard the spaceship "Serenity." Its nine-member ensemble cast represents different cultures and social classes coping with pioneer living on the perimeter of their star system. According to Whedon, "Firefly" dramatizes the lives and views of ""nine people looking into the blackness of space and seeing nine different things." In Whedon's view, "nothing will change in the future: technology will advance, but we will still have the same political, moral, and ethical problems as today."
