Superheroes like Spider-Man just don’t grow on trees you know! They arrive straight out of the comic books and have some mystical power or other that make them the hero they are. Spider-Man got his start when he was bitten by a “radioactive” spider while still in high school, and this film centers on those impressionable years as he develops his super powers. A big name cast does a splendid job of bringing The Amazing Spider-Man 3D to a movie theater near you!
Peter Parker is Spider-Man’s alter ego (played by Andrew Garfield from Never Let Me Go, The Social Network), a young man whose parents abandoned him when quite young. Gwen Stacy, Peter’s love interest, is played by Emma Stone of Paper Man, Zombieland). Rhys Ifans (Passion Play, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1) has an interesting role in Spider-Man as scientist Dr. Curt Conners, a man with a missing arm who tries to regenerate it by taking lizard serum and ends up becoming some sort of “reptilian humanoid” monster.
The Amazing Spider-Man 3D also stars Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary, and C. Thomas Howell.
